------------------

“You look like an idiot,” Krystal told him, kicking him in the shin under the table. They were supposed to be studying for their history test that was the following day (they'd even made sure to create their schedules this semester so that they had as many classes together as possible in order to be able to study and do homework together), but Baekhyun was staring open-mouthed as Jessica, Krystal's older sister, made herself a cup of tea in the kitchen- the older girl plainly visible in through the dining room door.

Baekhyun's eyebrows furrowed, “Shut up.” But he still didn't take his eyes away from where Jessica was pouring the hot water from the kettle into a big, porcelain mug.

Seriously,” Krystal griped, continuing to kick Baekhyun's shins until he moved his legs out of her reach, “If you don't start paying attention and actually studying, I am going to kick you out so I can study by myself.”

Finally Baekhyun tore his gaze away from Krystal's older sister to meet her frustrated stare.

“Okay, okay,” he relented, hands up in surrender.

Krystal rolled her eyes, but started reading off the next topic from their study guide.

She shouldn't be this annoyed by Baekhyun's staring. God knows that she'd seen countless men (and quite a few women) gawking at her sister for as long as she could remember. But she never thought that she'd have to watch her best friend drool over Jessica.

And why now anyway? They'd met in elementary school when they used to live next door to each other. Naturally, finding out that they had children of the same age, their parents had arranged numerous play dates for them until they actually became friends on their own accord- walking to school together when they were old enough, spending the summers at the community pool, and playing on the swings at recess when Baekhyun wasn't dragged off by his friends who wanted to play soccer and when Krystal wasn't making friendship bracelets with the other girls on the benches.

When Baekhyun had moved across town when they were twelve, they'd both been devastated since that meant that Baekhyun would have to attend a different middle school. But they still hung out on the weekends and ended up in the same homeroom their freshmen year in high school.

Basically, they'd known each other nearly their whole lives, and now Baekhyun suddenly decided that he had the hots for her sister. How inconvenient and annoying. Whatever, Krystal thought, he'd probably get over it soon.

“She's not going to come downstairs any time soon,” Krystal told him, shoving his shoulder none too gently when she caught Baekhyun looking through the door into the kitchen like Jessica would appear out of midair or something.

“I know,” he shot back, quickly looking back at his notes like maybe she'd believe him, “I was just thinking that I wanted a soda.”

Krystal rolled her eyes.

Please?” he asked, pulling the whole adorable act that he whipped out whenever he wanted something. He flashed her some puppy dog eyes, and when she didn't respond, he brought his hand up to his cheek to do buing buing.

Krystal just sighed.

“Fine,” he said as he got up, pretending to be miffed even though she knew that he wasn't, “I'll just get it myself. Hmph.

“Get me one while you're in there,” Krystal shouted a second later.

“I don't want to,” Baekhyun taunted from the kitchen, reminding her of when they were both bratty eight year olds who always had to get their way. Not much had changed, actually. At least not in the way they interacted with one another. But at the same time, so much had changed.

“I'm not getting you a drink,” Baekhyun sing-songed, in case she hadn't gotten that the first time.

“You're a jerk,” she called back and heard him laughing- that loud, unapologetic, and infectious laugh that she'd always loved.

Krystal scowled at her history notes, written neatly in purple pen and highlighted in different colors to correspond to the study guide. Baekhyun was so stupid. He wasn't even studying that much, what with how he was staring at Jessica. He'd probably fail and then whine to her about it for days.

Why do I even like him? she lamented inwardly, fingers raking through her hair in frustration.

But then Baekhyun returned from the kitchen and handed her a can of soda and a glass with ice. Because that's how she liked to drink it, while Baekhyun just drank from the can.

Oh yeah, her mind supplied, that's why.

Krystal made a sound of acknowledgment in response instead of saying thank you.

Baekhyun just grinned.

Idiot.

---

Krystal was standing at her locker the next morning, barely awake and unhappy to be at school. Grabbing the books that she'd need for her morning classes, she slammed the metal door shut and spun her lock. Maybe if she got to her first class early, she could glance over the history notes again.

“Hey!”

Suddenly something heavy hit her on the side and made her stumble slightly before she righted herself to glare at the perpetrator.

“Don't hit your friends with your thousand pound backpack,” Krystal complained, “It's rude.”

“Sorry,” Baekhyun said, smile never leaving his face. He obviously had something to tell her.

“What?” she asked tiredly. Baekhyun's excitement was not welcome before ten am. No excitement was welcome before ten am, but Baekhyun's was particularly exhausting.

“Uh, well, I was wondering,” Baekhyun's smile was a little less bright and a little more unsure as he paused, playing with his bangs nervously before continuing, “Could you, like, help me talk to Jessica-noona?”

Krystal felt her stomach drop and her mouth curve instinctively into a frown.

“She's a senior,” Krystal pointed out, concentrating on what her face was doing, lest the frown slip and something else show through, “She doesn't date sophomores.”

“But-”

“Especially dweeb-y sophomores like you,” she added, voice light and teasing as she flicked him playfully in the temple. When she'd taught him that English word back when they were kids, he'd thought it was hilarious- calling anything and anyone a dweeb until his parents were so tired of hearing it that they offered to take him out for ice cream at the end of that week if he didn't say it anymore.

But despite the joke, Baekhyun's hopeful and nervous face had fallen to one of dejection. The guilt was immediate.

It really wasn't fair for her to deny him the right to date whom he wanted just because of her stupid (stupid, stupid) feelings. And besides, Jessica probably would turn him down nicely. She tended to brush off the attention of most of the boys who approached her anyway. Krystal doubted that Baekhyun would be any different.

But still. It was weird. And such a kick in the gut. If he had to go after someone, did it really have to be Jessica? Krystal and her sister usually got along fine, but right at that moment she hated her.

She sighed, “Well...”

Baekhyun's head immediately snapped up, looking at her with renewed hope.

“I guess I can try.”

“Thank you!” Baekhyun exclaimed, throwing a long arm around her shoulders and squeezing uncomfortably tight as he dragged her down the hall, “You're the best, really.”

“I'm just helping so you don't completely embarrass yourself,” she mumbled, trying really hard not to sound as glum as she felt.

“Krystal, I owe you so much!” Baekhyun went on, mood as high as it had been when he'd won that singing competition when he was thirteen, “If you ever want me to set you up with anyone...Jongin? Chanyeol? Sehun?”

“No thank you,” Krystal replied, “I don't date dweebs either.”

Baekhyun laughed loudly, squeezing her around the shoulders again in his excitement- prattling away about how great it was all going to be and how, if he and Jessica ever got married, then she'd be his sister-in-law. Krystal just tried to keep her mouth shut and her feet moving.

He left her at the door to her first period class- knowing where it was without her having to tell him- with an obnoxious, over-the-top hug that had Krystal's stomach doing something really weird- a combination of happy nerves and absolute dread, she figured.

As she sat down at her desk, pulling her notes out to study like she told herself she would, she couldn't help, but grimace. What had she just done?

---

“So do you have a plan?” Baekhyun asked loudly, accosting her at her locker at the end of the day.

At first she wasn't sure what he meant, but along with the realization came the lovely sensation of a brick hitting her in the chest. Not that she'd forgotten about what she'd promised. Oh no. She'd thought about it all day. All day. Torturing herself over what a terrible idea it was and thinking about what would happen if Jessica actually did...like him. That one made her ill. Krystal just hoped that she hadn't completely failed that history test with how unfocused she'd been.

“Why should I have a plan?” Krystal complained, “Why don't you have a plan? This your...thing.”

“But you're the one helping me,” he reminded her, rocking back on his heels with impatience as Krystal loaded up her shoulder bag with books and closed her locker.

Krystal sighed. Loudly. And this one wasn't for effect.

“When do you want to talk to her?” she forced herself to ask, half hoping that Baekhyun wouldn't notice how miserable she sounded, and half hoping that he would.

“Soon,” he told her, “I don't like waiting.”

“I know,” she snorted, unable to stop the amused smile pulling at her lips.

“So maybe if you kind of gave me tips about what to say? Then I can talk to her on Thursday after school? She'll be home right?”

“Probably,” Krystal shrugged.

That was only three days away. Well, at least it'll be over with soon, she told herself. Or, she acknowledged, it could be just the beginning.

---

Over the course of the next few days, Krystal told Baekhyun everything she could think to tell him about Jessica. Everything that was relevant, at least. He probably didn't need to know about that time that Jessica had cried from watching Friday the 13th because she was so scared and how she refused to sleep in her own room for a week- instead insisting on camping out on Krystal's floor...when she was sixteen. As much fun as that would be to tell.

Krystal coached Baekhyun on what Jessica's favorite bands were, what TV shows she watched, what movie heroines she most admired. She told him what her favorite foods were and warned him to never, ever bring a cucumber within twenty feet of her or else she'd run away like it was a syringe filled with poison.

She also gave him a heads up that he might have to wait a few seconds for Jessica to laugh after he'd told a joke, so he shouldn't feel bad if she didn't immediately crack up and tell him that he was hilarious.

“Um...so I think you know everything?” Krystal ventured.

They were at Baekhyun's house, naturally, since it wouldn't do for Jessica to overhear them. It was eight at night so the ceiling lights were on and reflecting off the windows, making it nearly impossible for them to see outside. And despite the fact that Krystal wanted so badly to tell him to just forget the whole thing because Jessica was a lesbian or something, she didn't. She didn't want to be the one to let him down. And as tempting as it might have been to give him horrible advice so that Jessica would definitely tell him that she wasn't interested, she didn't want him to make a fool out of himself. Not really.

“We should probably practice,” Baekhyun said solemnly from where he was sprawled on his bed- one foot hanging off the side and his attention focused on Krystal. She was sitting in his desk chair, one foot curled under her and the other on the floor so that she had leverage to make the chair rotate until the arm hit the edge of the desk and forced her to go the other way.

What?” Krystal demanded, “That's...” a terrible idea, the worst thing that's ever come out of your mouth ever because this already is so unfair and I can't do this, “really dumb, Baekhyun.”

“No, it's not,” he argued, pushing himself into sitting position to make his case, “You know how I am. I'll forget everything and freeze up as soon as I'm talking to her. At least if we practice, I have less of a chance of completely failing at life.”

Krystal couldn't really argue with that because it was true. But she really didn't want to be the stand-in for her sister- the one whom Baekhyun actually wanted to be talking to.

“Please?” There were those stupid puppy dog eyes again.

Krystal groaned, knowing that Baekhyun was going to get his way.

“Thank you!” he exclaimed, jumping up, off the bed and tugging Krystal into standing position.

“So what are you even going to say?” Krystal asked, trying to stall this weird role play, “Are you just going to strike up a conversation about something that she likes and then...?” And then what? Krystal kind of didn't want to know.

“Um...” Baekhyun scratched at the back of his neck and then grabbed onto the hem of his t-shirt, “I was going to maybe try to confess? Or something.”

He was going to confess. He was actually going to confess. He was going to tell Jessica that he liked her and that he wanted to take her on a date. This was happening.

She'd say no, right? She would. She always said no to the pathetic boys who followed her around. But Baekhyun wasn't pathetic. Okay, well this whole situation might not have been his finest moment, but he wasn't pathetic. He wasn't like all those other guys with no personality who only liked her because she was beautiful. Baekhyun wasn't like that. And who could say no when he got that look on his face?

Oh god. Oh god. She was going to say yes. She was totally going to say yes. How could she not? She was going to agree to go on the date and then they'd fall in love and Krystal would come out of her room to find them making out on the couch. No. No no no no no. No, she couldn't do this.

“So...you stand there like...you're just casually standing there... and I'll...” he stopped to look around the room, “I'll come in and strike up a conversation, okay?”

There was that look- earnest and hopeful and ugh.

“Yeah,” Krystal sighed, trying to ignore the sinking feeling in her chest.

“Okay.”

Baekhyun stepped into the hall and then stepped back through the door and closed it behind him. Krystal pretended to...stare at the desk. Because everyone knows that Jessica just stands around staring at desks...

“Hey, are you busy?”

Krystal looked up and tried to just be normal and act like she usually would. Except she was pretending to be Jessica...so maybe not.

“Um, no,” she answered, shifting uncomfortably and trying to figure out what to do with her hands. This was strange. So strange. She and Baekhyun had never been awkward like this.

“Oh good,” Baekhyun laughed.

And he was nervous, she could tell. Even just pretending. His voice was a little shaky and his cheeks were pink and Krystal hated the fact that none of this was for her.

“So...you like Breakfast at Tiffany's?” he asked.

“Mmhm, it's my favorite movie.” Krystal realized that she was really bad at pretending to be her older sister.

“Um...Audrey Hepburn is good in it,” Baekhyun supplied. Even though he'd never seen the movie. They both knew that.

“She is,” Krystal agreed, “Don't you like the part where her pet goat gets loose, so she and George Peppard have to go running through New York to find it?”

That didn't happen. Not even a little bit. Krystal had seen that movie with Jessica probably a hundred times. So maybe she was being a little passive aggressive. It was just to keep herself sane though. That justified it. Kind of.

“Oh yeah! That part is...great!” Baekhyun readily agreed and Krystal kind of wanted to laugh except she was afraid she might cry instead, “I saw this thing on TV and these goats ate through this woman's wall!”

Krystal couldn't help the amused snort at hearing that. That was...the least romantic thing she'd ever heard in her life. But so Baekhyun.

“So...uh...there's this place that has really good spaghetti,” he not-so-smoothly transitioned, “We could, um, go there sometime?”

“Oh please,” Krystal barked out a laugh, “You would not be able to eat spaghetti without getting it all over yourself. I've seen you.”

“Jessica wouldn't say that,” Baekhyun frowned, clearly not liking the direction that this role play was going.

Krystal could say that she wasn't too pleased either.

“So...are you going to be Jessica again?”

“No,” Krystal snapped, suddenly so done with the entire thing. She'd thought that she could sit back and be supportive, but this was too much.

“What-”

“I am not going to be Jessica because I'm not Jessica,” she told him, hands clenched into fists at her sides, “Obviously,” she spat, resentment burning her from the inside out.

“I know, I just-”

“No you don't!” Krystal exclaimed, “You have no idea about anything. Why do you even want to date Jessica anyway? You barely even know her! And she doesn't know you either. She's not the one who puts up with your complaints about how Jongdae got the solo for the choir concert instead of you, she doesn't go along with your stupid, random whims, she doesn't help you study and make sure you don't fail your tests because you get distracted, she doesn't pretend that Chanyeol's jokes are funny just so your friends will like her, she doesn't drive you around everywhere because you're too scared to take your driver's test, she doesn't know your coffee order, your McDonald's order, your Subway order, and your Jamba Juice order by heart, she...”

Krystal stopped to take a breath and it finally hit her what she'd been saying. She shut her mouth, watching as Baekhyun just stared at her in complete and utter shock.

“What are you...”

“Never mind,” Krystal hastily cut him off, feeling tears of embarrassment welling up in her eyes. She rarely cried. And now wasn't going to be one of those times.

“But-”

“Do what you want tomorrow,” she said, throat inconveniently tight, “Just forget about what I said.”

Before Baekhyun could reply, Krystal grabbed her purse and ran- out of his room, down the stairs, and out the door. Thank goodness she'd driven here.

As she very, very carefully monitored her speed so she didn't accidentally kill herself by driving recklessly due to her anger, Krystal wondered what would happen now. She'd wrecked things. There was no way that they could go back the way things were. Not after...that.

Despite the maybe-tears blurring her vision, she made it safely home.

“Krystal, what's wrong?” Jessica asked, following her up the stairs and down the hallway toward her room. Krystal was glad that she was speaking quietly because she didn't need her parents badgering her too.

“Nothing,” she lied, reaching up to make sure that there were no traces on tears on her cheeks.

“Krystal-”

“Just...be nice to Baekhyun, okay?”

With that, Krystal walked away and shut herself in her room, wishing that she could stay there forever.

Then again, if she was wishing things, she'd just wish that she hadn't screwed everything up like she had.

But it was too late.

---

Krystal shoved her coat into her locker and grabbed her books in record time, hurriedly making her way down the hall to her first period class before Baekhyun could arrive at her locker. Not that he'd want to after yesterday. But even if the odds of him even wanting to see her weren't good, she wasn't going to take any chances.

All day she carefully avoided any spot where they'd typically see each other or meet up. Of course, they did have three classes together and there wasn't much Krystal could do about that. But she rushed to get to each shared class and sat down in her seat before she knew Baekhyun would arrive. And he wouldn't be dumb enough to try to talk to her in class about what had happened.

After class, she'd sprint for the door, all of her stuff already gathered up so she was ready to go before the bell rang, and head for the nearest girl's bathroom. He couldn't try to follow her in there, after all. Even if he was hot on her heels after their third class together.

It had been exhausting, both emotionally and physically, but she'd managed to avoid any contact with Baekhyun for the entire day. Now she just had to quickly grab her stuff from her locker and head out. Baekhyun tended to take his time at the end of the school day, so she should be able to beat him out of the school and be a block away before he even left the building.

Or so she thought.

Slamming her locker closed and spinning quickly around to make her getaway, she found herself face to face with the one person that she didn't want to see (even if a part of her kind of did).

“Excuse me,” she said coldly, face the perfect mask of indifference. It was that facial expression that made people think that she was mean before they got to know her. And now was one of those times where it came in handy.

“Krystal, stop,” Baekhyun pleaded, trying to get a hand on her arm, but she evaded the touch and walked toward the exit with determination.

Of course Baekhyun just followed her, but maybe he would give up after he realized that she didn't want to talk about how she'd ruined their friendship and basically yelled at him for liking her sister.

“Krystal,” he tried again when they were a block away from school, having turned on a side street so there were less people around, “Will you please stop avoiding me.”

She shook her head, eyes straight forward.

“I'm sorry, okay?” he said, steps quick to keep up with her, “I'm really dumb, so...can we at least talk?”

She wasn't exactly sure what he was apologizing for. He probably didn't know either. Whenever they fought, he was always the first one to break and say he was sorry. So he probably just saw that she was acting cold and figured that an apology was the way to go. He was so dumb.

“No,” she replied, voice steady.

“Krystal, come on,” he whined, not even attempting to be cute even if it kind of was, “Let me talk.”

“I don't want to talk.”

“You don't have to talk at all,” he assured her, “But will you at least listen?”

“I want to go home,” she said, surprised at how clipped her voice sounded.

“Can I come with you?”

Krystal's steps faltered. It was Thursday afternoon. The day that he was going to talk to Jessica. He probably wanted to tell her that he still wanted to be friends no matter what, blah, blah, but that he wanted to talk to Jessica anyway.

“I told you that you could do whatever you wanted today.”

“When...what?” Baekhyun stopped walking, sounding confused. Krystal only sped her pace up. If he was going to come to her house to talk to Jessica, she wanted to be in her room with her headphones on and a pint of ice cream next to her before that happened.

Suddenly there were fast approaching footsteps behind her and then Baekhyun was walking next to her again.

“You think I'm still going to talk to Jessica-noona?” he asked, keeping pace with her despite the fact that she was moving as fast as she could without actually running.

“I said that you can do what you want,” she repeated, voice a little harsher now.

“I don't want to though,” Baekhyun insisted, “Krystal? Will you please listen to me?”

He was starting to sound a little desperate and Krystal felt bad, but she just couldn't handle this today. It was too soon. If he wanted to talk, they could talk...later. Like in a week. Or a month. Or something.

“Hey,” he put a hand on her shoulder and held on, forcing Krystal to slow down until she was stuck standing there with him, eyes on her shoes, “I listened to you. Can you do the same for me?”

As if that was the same at all, Krystal thought. But figured that suddenly sprinting away might cause a scene. Or she'd trip and that would be even more embarrassing. She'd just have to stand here and watch that ant try to pick up that bread crumb and let him talk. Then she could leave- walk as far away as she could.

“Fine,” she said, bracing herself for whatever he was going to say.

“You and Jessica-noona look alike, you know?” he started.

Krystal found herself scowling. What did that have to do with anything anyway?

“No we don't,” she snapped, still watching the ant instead of Baekhyun's face, “Everyone says that we look nothing alike.”

“Maybe when you're just standing there,” he allowed, “But you guys have the same facial expressions and mannerisms. It's pretty hard to miss...”

“Where are you going with this?” Krystal finally asked, looking up in frustration. She did not want to stand here and be compared to her sister- to the girl that he wanted who obviously wasn't her.

“No...just,” he sighed, “I mean, there was a reason I thought she was pretty, you know?”

“She is pretty,” Krystal told him, resigned.

“I know, but I mean...I thought she was pretty because she reminds me of you.”

He was looking uncomfortable now- now that Krystal was listening to him and not running away.

“That doesn't make sense.”

“It does! I mean...I just...you know,” he sighed, biting his lower lip and glancing off to the side like he always did when he was nervous.

“What are you actually saying?” Krystal demanded, not quite liking the way her mind was suddenly twisting this into something good when she was just about to be crushed. Again.

“I didn't think you would ever like me,” he said, fingers running over the lapels of his uniform blazer restlessly as he looked Krystal in the eye.

“I didn't...either?” she admitted because, really, what else was there to say to that?

Baekhyun laughed, a tiny bit of tension seeming to leave his stiff shoulders.

“No, I mean...I just never thought you could...see me like that. After, you know, I pushed you over when we were seven and you scraped your knees and went home crying. And then you hit me the next day,” he laughed, still fiddling with his clothes and only meeting Krystal's eyes for a second at a time.

“I was in roller blades. Why would you push someone down when they're in roller blades?” Krystal lamented, being taken back to that day despite her attempt at staying firm, and remembering the shell shocked expression on Baekhyun's face when she'd wiped out, knees bloody and hands scraped up from the pavement.

“Because I was stupid,” Baekhyun admitted, chuckling nervously, “Am stupid,” he corrected.

“I still don't-”

“Look,” he took a breath, “I never thought that you'd like me. I came to this realization when we were eleven and you were following that exchange student...Wu Fan around. I knew you wouldn't ever...I don't know...follow me around like that, I guess. So I talked myself out of even considering that as an option. So when I started noticing that Jessica laughed like you, I figured that that was as close as I'd get. It was stupid.”

He stopped, still unable to maintain eye contact as he tugged on the strap of his backpack.

“Oh my god, Byun Baekhyun, you are a complete and utter moron,” Krystal exclaimed, wondering if she should laugh or punch the boy standing in front of her, looking like he was partly relieved to have Krystal calling him a moron, but not quite sure if that was good or not. She snorted in amusement.

“Um...”

Why do you even still remember Wu Fan?”

“Well, you liked him didn't you?” he defended.

“When I was eleven,” she pointed out, “I also liked t-shirts that said 'Diva' on them in rhinestones,” she rolled her eyes.

“I think I remember that shirt,” Baekhyun said, lips quirking.

“Well forget about it again, it was ugly.”

And then Baekhyun laughed- unrestrained and happy and perfect. Krystal couldn't stop herself from following along, laughing until there were tears in the corners of her eyes. Because this was all so ridiculous and definitely wouldn't happen to anyone else.

But they couldn't laugh forever and there were still a few things left unresolved.

“So...” Baekhyun began once he'd gathered himself, “Um...”

“Really?” Krystal scoffed, trying to push down the swirling in her stomach that was making her hands shake, “I have to listen to this Baekhyun again?”

“I uh...was really nervous trying to practice with you,” he admitted, “Way more nervous than I would have been...”

He didn't need to finish. And not focusing on the fact that he'd nearly asked Jessica out was probably the best thing to do right now.

Krystal felt her cheeks flush, glancing down to break their eye contact. Where was that ant...?

“Krystal?”

She looked up again in time to see Baekhyun step forward, closing much of the distance between them.

“Do you...uh...want to get spaghetti?”

“No,” she laughed, continuing before Baekhyun misunderstood, “I am not going to sit across from someone in public who has sauce all over them like a child.”

Baekhyun's eyes lowered as he smiled, eyelashes resting on the tops of his pink cheeks.

“We can go get ice cream instead,” she grinned, watching his gaze come up to meet hers.

“You mean now?” he asked, looking like he was afraid that he was misinterpreting her.

Yes now.”

And before Baekhyun could say anything else, Krystal leaned up and pressed their lips together- something she'd wanted to do for at least two years- feeling Baekhyun kiss her back after a second's hesitation- sending her blood racing.

“We can get ice cream,” Baekhyun murmured, pulling back slightly though she could still feel his breath on her lips.

“In a second,” Krystal said as she got a hand on the back of his neck to pull him back down, smiling against his lips when she felt his hands settle at her waist- fingers pressing into her sides as their lips moved together. A little awkward at first but undeniably right.

After pulling back that time, Krystal grabbed Baekhyun's hand and dragged him along as she headed for the ice cream shop, the two of them meeting each other's eyes every few seconds and laughing a little giddily.

They were both idiots, Krystal allowed. Though Baekhyun was probably a little more of a idiot than she was. Maybe. Because who else would push someone when they were on roller blades and not expect them to fall?

Exactly.

Congrats on one of the first het fics! /claps

I loved the silly confessions and the way that you described Baekhyun, especially when he was confessing to Krystal. They seemed like old friends and new lovers all at the same time, chuckling over old memories and new realizations.

I also adore your Jung sisters. Keep it up!

wah thank you! haha
i'm so glad that you liked it!
it was really fun to write their exchanges. idk if they even interact ever, but if they don't, they should XD

it is really good for a really first het fic! is it on kpop-het?
they should. even if everyone is pro-kaistal and kai is supposedly krystal's fav i still wanna see some of these two.
undoubtedly.
thank you for writing and replying!

i did post it on kpop-het :)
kaistal is fine. i mean, i love them both. but i convinced myself to ship baekstal by writing this XD i feel like they would have a similar sense of humor. idk! lol.
but you know what het pairing i super don't get? baekhyun and taeyeon! i can't see it as anything other than idol worship (not in a creepy stalker way! lol). i think he just looks up to her since she's such a good singer and is so successful? but it's not like i know XD but yeah. idk. i just can't see it lol.

ok~~
kaistal is fine, i also like the idea of chanyeol/luna and kris/amber but baekstal, as you said, seems to be very real-sounding, like they could either be close friends or.. more. i don't get baekyeon/baektae? at all either. like we haven't really seen that much interaction (like sehun/taeyeon has more interaction) and just because they look up to someone doesn't mean that there is a relationship. i don't get chanyeol/sulli that much either, just because they are actors doesn't mean anything! and seohyun/kris too.. there is a few exoshidae ones i don't get at the moment. i like kris/sooyoung and suho/jessica (I really like susica, they seem really cute, like suho seems always so shy around jessica and jessica is always dragging him around to do things) though!! but i don't get baektae either.

okay thank you! i'm glad that i'm not the only one who feels like that!
i must be behind on the het ships b/c i didn't even know that a lot of those were even things XD
if i was gonna pair baekhyun with someone in snsd, i'd pick seohyun and idek why. i don't remember if you read my newest baekyeol or not, but he's an snsd fanboy (as in real life XD) and taeyeon is his favorite member but seohyun is his ideal type until he meets chanyeol. yeah i don't even know where that came from haha.

there are a few that seriously don't make sense.
then you must be pretty behind ~~ it's ok, it's just het ships~
seohyun does seem like a pretty good choice, but really we haven't seen that much baekhyun/snsd interaction really so we can't really base anything just yet. kris seems to the closest to snsd with kai as a close second. and i haven't read it just yet~ i am slowly plowing through the fics i haven't read just yet!

yeah. we pretty much just know that baekhyun is a fan XD
and as a complete side note, i love that amber is friends with tao. so cute.
