Hello everyone!
You may have seen me around LJ before. My name is Annie and I'm a 20 year old college junior. I'm a photography major and I'm currently starting a documentary project about the sub culture of Asian pop-culture fans in America.
I want to focus on the collections of Asian pop culture related items of fans in the US.
However, to do this, I'm going to need to find people in the Chicago-land area who will be willing to let me take pictures of their rooms.
I can't pay you, but I will send you image files or prints of the images that I use for my project.

i'm in canada so i was going to propose you that i could take picture of whatever k-pop thing i could have at my place (not that i have that much ^_^ more dvd) but after seeing your work i don't think i could make you justice!

Aww I live in Ontario... and my room is an absolutely embarassing mess ;P

Have you tried looking on Soompi for somewhere you could post about it? They are so huge and have a ton of Americans, there might be somewhere on the general discussion boards there with local boards or at least where you can post your own thread. I mean, it's generally the best place to sell tickets to American k-pop events so it's probably a good place to look for people :)

I know there's an a ton of johnnys/jpop/jrock fans too but I'm not sure where to post to get ahold of them even though I was into that way before k-pop but I'm sure 75% of them are kpop fans too now anyway ;PP... D'you have any local anime conventions coming up? There's sometimes a j-pop/Johnny's panel at anime cons, but at the very least lots of j-pop/j-rock fans to network with.
